Why is <Item> so hard to find? Help!

A big part of Eldegarde is the progression and itemization system. Some items in the game are intentionally difficult to find and may require several Adventures to find. However, sometimes items can be unintentionally difficult to find and may have their drop rates modified as we continue to develop the game.

I crashed and lost my items/gear permanently. Can you restore them?

The game server or client (your game) may crash sometimes despite our best efforts. We receive logs for each crash and work diligently to reduce the number of instances of crashes, but since Eldegarde is a PC game that runs on a variety of different configurations, it can be difficult to account for every crash.

If you crash during an Adventure, and die (whether its to creatures/players or the timer), you will permanently lose your items and won’t be able to recover them. Although the crash was something you could not account for or was in your error, we cannot refund or replace your lost items at this time as we do not have that capability or infrastructure. We are investigating ways we could do something like this in the future, but have nothing to share yet.

We apologize for this and know how frustrating it can be. We recommend reconnecting to the game immediately (and it can take a few attempts) to see if you can log back in after the crash to continue the adventure if possible. Do note that if the server crashes, we have put in measures to retain your items, but you may lose items you looted during the adventure.

Does Eldegarde have Wipes?

Eldegarde is a PvPvE Extraction game, and in this "genre" there usually are "seasonal" wipes where all items, stash and player character levels are reset.

Yes, Eldegarde performs regular wipes every ~3 months or so. When we do wipes, we announce it on our social media including on X/Twitter, Discord, and to our Newsletter subscribers.

Do you plan on having Skill Based Matchmaking (SBMM) or Gear Based Matchmaking (GBMM)?

At the moment, we have nothing to announce regarding SBMM or GBMM features. However, we do anticipate we will be adding some sort of matchmaking logic when queueing Adventures to make them the best experience. In particular we're open to the idea of adding a "newbie queue" to group new players together.

Once we have something to announce there, we will let you know!

Do you plan on adding an Auction House?

You can join the discussion in our Discord thread here on the Auction House.

We currently have no plans to add an Auction House. but we're listening to players feedback on that. In our perspective, auction houses usually create a lot of significant challenges in design, for example Escape from Tarkov has diminished the power of the AH over time to address progression issues.

What is your stance on "teaming" during Adventures?

When players say "teaming" they mean players "teaming up" during Adventures even though they didn't queue together.

Notorious currently does not have any rules against teaming and see it as a natural social dynamic. Even if we did have a stance against it, there is no easy way to "police" it.

However, "teaming" by coordinating queues together and meeting up in the session to 2v1 other players is against the rules and may include disciplinary measures including the potential banning of your account. To report a player, please email support@playlegacy.gg.
